In order to expand their business, they had acquired 49.2% stake in Erik Buell Racing of USA. The company has their presence in more than 20 nations. Hero MotoCorp is one of the leading producers of economic commuter bikes for the domestic as well as international market. Later in 2010, Hero Group had decided to terminate the Hero Honda and soon formed the independent Hero MotoCorp in 2011. Due to the increasing difference between two partners, the fumes of disagreements and split over issues were all around the company. The Hero Honda Splendor, CBZ and Passion are regarded as some of the iconic bikes of all time. With this alliance, Hero had developed various engines with the help of Honda technology. The company started their primary business under the brand Hero Honda, which is a joint venture of Hero Cycles and Honda Motorcycles of Japan. Brijmohan Lal Munjal founded this Indian brand in 1984, headquartered at Gurgaon, India. Hero MotoCorp is world's largest two-wheeler manufacturer in terms of volume.
